Reading to Know Me

Siddhartha by Hermann Hesse

Siddhartha

This was a very quick read, it is only 122 pages.  It was nice to read a fiction, a story about someone struggle to awaken.

Do You Do It, or Does It Do You?: how to let the universe meditate you by Alan Watts

Do You Do It, or Does It Do You?: how to let the universe meditate you

This was my most recent Alan Watts read.  It was a good book.  It was mostly a re-hashing of things that I have heard him say in other works.  This is a good book if you are new to Alan, other wise I would not spend the time on it.

The Way of Zen by Alan W. Watts

The Way of Zen

I greatly enjoyed this book.  In fact I re-read the last half of it like 5 times.  It really helped me to become aware of and see nondual, as well as to cease much of my grasping.

The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are by Alan Watts

The Book: On the Taboo Against Knowing Who You Are

There are many wonderful perspectives that he presents in this book.  It is a book that I plan to give to my son when he is in high school.

Spontaneous Awakening by Adyashanti

Spontaneous Awakening

This was a very powerful listen.  Adya is a wonderful speaker, he could be your next door neighbor.  His insights are much the same as Alan Watts and conveyed in a less intellectual way.  They, Alan and Adya, make for an effective environment to awaken.
